About the Owner

East Coast Video Productions was founded in 2002 with the express goal to provide high quality video production and digital media services to Halifax and its surrounding communities, while reducing costs to make these services accessible to small business. ECVP focuses mainly on the business community, producing promotional material, commercials, and training videos. We are also open to new and exciting projects like music videos and special interest pieces.

James McDonald has been involved with the video and film industry for the past decade. After graduation in 1997 from the University of New Brunswick, James moved to Halifax and immediately fell in love with the city’s vibrancy and youthful spirit.

After two years of writing original screenplays, working with local television technical crews and learning the business, he decided to start his own production company. Today, James is working constantly to keep East Coast Video Productions at the cutting edge of the video industry, and maintains his commitment to excellence.
